San Rafael Pacifics Rout Vallejo Seaweed 14-1

July 15 2023 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Vallejo Seaweed 14-1 at Albert Park, collecting 15 hits while limiting Vallejo to six. San Rafael scored three runs in the first inning, added two in the fourth, erupted for five in the fifth and scored four more in the sixth. Vallejo’s lone run came in the sixth inning.

Kevin Johnson led the Pacifics offensively by going 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI and a home run. Kyle Guerra also homered and finished 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Dan Crossan and John Bicos each drove in three runs, while Beau Dorman scored three times and added a hit, two walks and one RBI.

Kohto Hasegawa earned the win with a complete seven-inning performance, allowing six hits and one run, which was unearned, while walking two and striking out seven. Vallejo starter Kevin Consolazio took the loss after surrendering 12 hits and 10 earned runs in five innings, with eight walks and one strikeout. Kyle Kotecki allowed four earned runs on three hits in the sixth inning.
