San Rafael Pacifics Defeat Vallejo Seaweed 5-1

July 19 2025 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Vallejo Seaweed 5-1, scoring in the first and third innings to build an early lead. San Rafael pushed across two runs in the first and added three more in the third before both teams were held scoreless over the remainder of the game. The Pacifics finished with seven hits and no errors, while Vallejo had three hits and committed three errors.

Chris Wright led San Rafael with two hits, including a double, and one RBI. Payton Rios and Jorge Rios also drove in runs, while Fred Buckson scored twice. Vallejo’s Michael Pavelchak collected two of the Seaweed’s three hits and drove in the team’s lone run.

Jake Dent earned the win after allowing one run on three hits over seven innings. He struck out 12 and walked four. Antoine Valerio and Nick Gajewski each worked a scoreless inning to complete the Pacifics’ three-hit pitching performance. Vallejo starter Matt Lazcano allowed two runs on two hits in two innings, while the Seaweed bullpen kept San Rafael scoreless over the final five innings.
