Vallejo Seaweed Pull Away From Dublin 15-8

July 27 2025 The Vallejo Seaweed defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 15-8 at Ofallon Field. Vallejo finished with 14 hits and scored in the third fifth seventh and ninth innings while Dublin collected 17 hits and scored in six innings but could not keep pace.

Vallejo broke through with five runs in the third inning and added two in the fifth before a four-run seventh and another four-run ninth. Jacob Savoy went 3-for-5 with four RBI and a home run while Hunter Dean added a home run and two RBI. Aaron Harper scored twice and drove in a run and Michael Pavelchak reached base five times with two hits and three walks.

Dublin scored twice in the second inning and added single runs in the third fourth and sixth before a three-run eighth. Dylan Leek went 3-for-6 with an RBI and two stolen bases. Abraham De La Cruz also had three hits with a double a home run and two RBI while Charlie Bogue and DJ Aceron Jr. each collected three hits. Chris Alfonseca went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.

Zak Rasner earned the win for Vallejo after allowing one hit and no runs with two strikeouts and one walk over 1.1 innings. Chris Alfonseca took the loss for Dublin after surrendering five runs on one hit with four walks and one strikeout in two innings. Vallejo's pitching staff recorded eight strikeouts overall while Dublin's staff had four.
