The Pecos League will play with 15 teams for the 2026 season. For the 2nd year in a row The Vallejo Seaweed have been removed from the schedule completely. In January the Copper was stolen from Wilson Park leaving the park without the ability to have lights, concession stand or working bathrooms. It was originally believed that there would be repairs made to have concessions and bathrooms working by the time season started.
The Pecos League was notified on 4/10/2026 that there would not be power to the field in any capacity and to relocate games elsewhere. The City of Martinez was willing to host games as well as Sam Lynn Ballpark in Bakersfield.
The Pecos League operates with night games where there are there is a live broadcast, tickets are sold, and there is an audience. Playing games at 12:00 in the middle of the week is not consistant for staff, players or an audience. The Pecos League have committed to the Austin Weirdos as the Pacific Division Travel Team. The talent will drop tremendously with two travel teams in a six team division.
Each team will play a 48 game schedule playing all teams 12 times, exactly 6 home and 6 away. The 4 teams will host Austin Weirdos for 12 games. All teams will have 30 home games and 18 away games.
